Fri Dec 13 08:11:31 UTC 2024: ## RBI Hit by Second Bomb Threat in a Month
**Mumbai, India** – The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is dealing with its second bomb threat in just one month. This time, the threat arrived via an email in Russian, sent to the RBI’s official website on Thursday afternoon. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation and registered a case at the Mata Ramabai Marg police station. Officers are currently working to identify and apprehend the sender.
This latest incident follows a previous threat on November 16th, where a caller, claiming to be the CEO of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror group, contacted the RBI’s customer care number. The caller reportedly sang a song before issuing the threat. Lashkar-e-Taiba was responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks, one of India’s deadliest terrorist events. While authorities haven’t confirmed a link between the two incidents, the proximity in time raises concerns. The investigation is ongoing.
