**BASSETERRE, St. Kitts & Nevis –** The West Indies men’s cricket team has drafted in two fast bowlers, Marquino Mindley and Jediah Blades, for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. The pair replace Matthew Forde and Shamar Joseph, respectively, due to injury.
Forde will continue his rehabilitation from a previous injury, while Joseph is sidelined with shin splints sustained during the recent Test series. Joseph’s condition will be monitored by the medical staff.
Mindley, who secured the most wickets among fast bowlers in the recent CG United Super 50 tournament, earns his first international call-up. Blades, a member of the West Indies Academy, also receives his maiden selection after taking 14 wickets in the regional tournament.
Both Mindley and Blades will join the squad on Thursday evening ahead of the series, which begins in St. Kitts & Nevis.
