In a heartfelt tribute accompanied by photos, Norris described his mother as a “woman of unwavering faith” and a “beacon of light” who instilled in him the importance of kindness and compassion. He fondly remembered her laughter, hugs, and selfless nature.
Wilma, born in Wilson, Oklahoma in 1921, overcame a challenging childhood marked by poverty and illness. She married Norris’ father, Ray, at 16 and raised three sons, including Chuck, after her husband left.
