HYDERABAD, INDIA – Popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun has been arrested following a stampede outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4th. The incident resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, and critical injuries to her eight-year-old son. Police have charged Allu Arjun, his security team, and three members of the theatre management (a co-owner, senior manager, and lower balcony in-charge) under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for negligence and failure to maintain crowd control.
