**Mumbai, India** – A screening of the highly anticipated film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” at Gaiety Galaxy Theatre in Bandra, Mumbai was interrupted after an unidentified individual sprayed a substance into the theatre, causing coughing, throat irritation, and vomiting among the audience.

The incident occurred during the intermission. According to eyewitnesses, after the interval, an unknown person sprayed a substance, leading to a brief period of chaos. The film’s screening was halted for approximately 15-20 minutes while theatre staff and subsequently, police investigated the incident. Audience members reported a lingering smell and described symptoms including coughing and vomiting. Police are currently investigating the incident and the nature of the sprayed substance.

One audience member, identified only as Mr. Dean Dayal, recounted that police arrived and checked on everyone. Another, Mr. Ranjan, stated that coughing started after the intermission, forcing some to vomit in the restrooms. He noted that the smell lingered for about 10-15 minutes before dissipating after the theatre doors were opened.

This incident follows a separate tragedy in Hyderabad, where a woman died and her child was injured in a stampede at a premiere screening of “Pushpa 2” on December 4th. Police are investigating both incidents.
