**New Delhi:** The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is shaking up its Delhi Assembly election lineup, dropping several incumbent MLAs, including prominent figures. Following the earlier announcement that Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal would not be contesting, Dilip Pandey, MLA from Timarpur and Chief Whip of the party, has also declared he will not be seeking re-election.
Pandey, also the Chairman of the Delhi Dialogue Commission, shared a picture with AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on social media, announcing his decision. He stated his intention to focus on strengthening the party organization rather than contesting the elections. He expressed confidence that Arvind Kejriwal would remain Chief Minister and pledged his continued support to the party.
Pandey’s exclusion, along with others, has reportedly caused unease among sitting AAP MLAs. The party has already reportedly dropped tickets for at least three incumbents in its first list of candidates. The move signals a significant reshuffle within AAP’s ranks ahead of the upcoming elections.
