**New Delhi, December 11, 2024** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension to the registration deadline for the UGC NET December 2024 examination. Candidates now have until 11:59 PM today, December 11, 2024, to apply. The deadline for fee submission has also been extended to 11:59 PM on December 12, 2024.

A correction window will be open from December 13 to December 14, 2024, for applicants to rectify any errors in their applications. NTA has stressed that only one application per candidate will be accepted; multiple submissions will be rejected.

The examination fee varies by category: ₹1150 for General/Unreserved, ₹600 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL, and ₹325 for SC/ST/PwD and Third Gender candidates. Payment can be made through various online methods including debit/credit cards and UPI.

The computer-based test (CBT) is scheduled for January 1 to 19, 2025, and will consist of two sections with objective-type multiple-choice questions.
