**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – December 10, 2024** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced plans to leverage WhatsApp for issuing government certificates, marking a significant step towards digital governance. At a review meeting of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) on Tuesday, Naidu unveiled a new system enabling citizens to obtain caste and income certificates via the platform. He envisions “WhatsApp Governance” as the future of efficient public service delivery, emphasizing data integration across departments.

To address persistent issues with birth and death certificate acquisition, a new web portal is slated for launch on January 1st, coordinating with Panchayat Raj and Urban Development departments. A unified portal will also monitor projects exceeding ₹100 crore, providing real-time updates on 80 central government projects underway in the state.

Naidu further emphasized the utilization of advanced technologies, including AI and deeptech, for swift grievance redressal. He instructed RTGS officials to closely monitor public satisfaction levels and leverage technology for improved governance across all departments. The integration of data from drones, CCTV cameras, satellites, and IoT devices was also highlighted, with examples such as using drone imagery to detect ganja plantations and crop diseases.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the ongoing paddy procurement program, citing over 90% farmer satisfaction based on IVRS surveys. He also noted the near-completion of household geotagging across the state (95%). Finally, Naidu approved ₹20 crore for the procurement of 1,000 additional Aadhaar kits, to be deployed in village and ward secretariats for enhanced accessibility.
