**New Delhi, December 10, 2024** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration window for the UGC-NET December 2024 examination on December 11, 2024. This crucial exam determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship awards and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges.

Importantly, candidates who have already applied must re-register using a new account, resulting in a new application number. The examination will be held from January 1 to January 19, 2024, at various centers across the country. Admit cards will be available for download approximately one week prior to the exam date. The exact date will be announced separately.

The last date for fee payment (via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI) is December 11, 2024, at 11:50 PM. A correction window will be open from December 12 to 13, 2024, until 11:50 PM, allowing applicants to rectify any errors in their application forms. Applicants are urged to carefully review their forms during this period.

The application fee is ₹600 for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories, and ₹325 for SC/ST/PWD/Transgender candidates.
