**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** President Droupadi Murmu will grace the first convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Mangalagiri on December 17th, Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad announced Tuesday. Extensive preparations are underway to ensure a smooth and successful visit.
The President is scheduled to arrive at Gannavaram International Airport at 11:20 a.m. via Indian Air Force aircraft and proceed to AIIMS Mangalagiri, arriving by 12:05 p.m. for the convocation. Following the ceremony, she will depart from Gannavaram Airport.
A high-level review meeting was held at the Secretariat, where Mr. Prasad emphasized meticulous planning and coordination among various departments, including robust security arrangements overseen by DGP Dwarka Thirumala Rao. District Collectors from Krishna, NTR, and Guntur districts detailed their respective plans. Officials from the Medical and Health Department, Gannavaram Airport, and AIIMS also participated in the meeting, providing updates on their preparations. The event will also include the participation of the Governor, Chief Minister, and several Union and State Ministers.
