**JOHANNESBURG** – South Africa and Pakistan have named their squads for the upcoming T20I series, promising a fiercely contested battle between two cricketing powerhouses. The series will mark the start of Pakistan’s tour of South Africa in 2024.

Heinrich Klaasen will captain South Africa in the T20Is, while Aiden Markram will lead the Proteas in the subsequent Test series. Several key players, including Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, and Tristan Stubbs, are unavailable for the T20Is but will rejoin the squad for the ODIs. The squad features exciting new additions, with Donovan Ferreira, Patrick Kruger, and Rassie van der Dussen earning call-ups based on strong recent performances.
