HYDERABAD, INDIA – High tension erupted at the residence of veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu in Jalpally, Hyderabad, on Monday. Manoj Babu, Mohan Babu’s son, and his wife, attempted to enter the property after meeting with the Telangana ADGP. Security personnel initially blocked their entry, leading to a confrontation. Manoj and his entourage forcefully breached the gates, resulting in a heated altercation.
Reports indicate that Manoj, claiming his daughter was inside, expressed anger towards the security staff before breaking through the gates. Police subsequently removed Manoj’s bouncers from the scene. Manoj was seen exiting the property with a torn shirt, suggesting a physical struggle.
Mohan Babu also reacted angrily to the situation, reportedly confronting and even physically pushing some media personnel present at the scene. A cameraman was reportedly injured during the ensuing chaos. Bouncers then locked the gates, barring further access for reporters.
A video of a phone conversation between Manoj’s wife, Mounika, and the police, reportedly discussing injuries sustained by Manoj and alleging that his security detail was being removed, has gone viral. Mounika also threatened private legal action against those involved.
Manoj Babu filed a complaint with the Pahadi Sharif police on Monday evening alleging assault, while Mohan Babu filed a counter-complaint with the Rachakonda Commissioner against Manoj and Mounika. The incident has escalated into a major controversy.
