**MAHOBA, INDIA** – A 33-year-old man, Mahendra Kumar, is on the run after allegedly murdering his wife, Meera, following a domestic dispute in Mahoba district on Sunday. According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vandana Singh, the argument escalated, leading to Kumar fatally striking his wife with a stone. The incident occurred in Mohalla Sattipura, City Kotwali area.
After the killing, Kumar reportedly locked himself and his three children – Arun (7), Vivek (5), and Archana (2) – inside their home and fled. Neighbors alerted police, who subsequently broke into the residence and discovered Meera’s body. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police are currently conducting a search for the absconding husband and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
