**Hosur, Tamil Nadu –** TVS Motor Company has revealed its all-new RTXD4 300 engine at the MotoSoul 2024 event. Developed entirely in-house at the company’s Hosur research and development center, the liquid-cooled, four-valve, dual overhead cam engine boasts several advanced features designed to enhance performance and efficiency. These include a plasma-coated cylinder for reduced friction, a dual-oil pump, a split chamber crankcase, a dual cooling jacket cylinder head, and a dual breather system. The engine will also incorporate throttle-by-wire technology.
Producing 34.5 bhp at 9000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm, the RTXD4 300 will be paired with a six-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. While slightly less powerful than the refreshed TVS Apache RR 310, industry speculation suggests the engine is destined for an upcoming adventure motorcycle series, likely to be branded under the “RTX” name. TVS has yet to officially confirm the application of this new powerplant.
