**CHARLOTTE, NC** – Residents of the Carolinas should prepare for a soggy start to the week, as a multi-day period of rain and thunderstorms is forecast from Monday through Wednesday. The National Weather Service is predicting widespread rainfall beginning Monday morning, with heavy downpours expected throughout the day before tapering to scattered showers in the afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday will see a continuation of moderate to heavy rainfall, with the potential for thunderstorms. Highs will remain in the low to mid-60s during these days. Total rainfall accumulation from Monday through Wednesday is anticipated to be between 2 and 4 inches.
