Sun Dec 08 15:35:45 UTC 2024: ## South Western Railway to Increase General Second Class Seating on Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru/Karwar Trains
**Mangaluru, December 8, 2024** – The Indian Railways will be making changes to the coach composition of several train services running between Yeshwantpur and Mangaluru Junction/Karwar starting at the end of January 2025. The changes aim to increase the availability of general second-class seating.
According to an official press release, four chair car coaches will be removed from the following trains: Train Nos. 16575/576 (Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Gomateshwara tri-weekly Express), 16515/516 (Yeshwantpur-Karwar-Yeshwantpur tri-weekly Express), and 16539/540 (Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru Junction-Yeshwantpur Weekly Express). In their place, two general second-class coaches, one AC 3-tier economy coach, and one sleeper class coach will be permanently added.
The revised composition will include one AC Chair Car, three Chair Cars, one AC 3-tier economy, one sleeper, four general second class, two Vista Dome Chair Cars, one second class cum luggage van, and one generator-cum-brake van coach. This alteration is intended to better meet the demands of passengers traveling on these routes.
