Mon Dec 09 12:12:29 UTC 2024: ## Supreme Court Dismisses Plea to Halt CLAT PG 2025 Result Release

**New Delhi:** The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition seeking to stay the release of the CLAT PG 2025 results. A bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar rejected the plea, directing the petitioners to approach the High Court.

The petition, filed before the results were announced, alleged irregularities in the provisional answer key of the CLAT PG exam. Petitioners claimed 12 questions in the key were incorrect. While the results were initially expected on December 10th, with the final answer key slated for December 9th, the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) released the results for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses on December 8th.

The provisional answer key was released on December 2nd, giving petitioners just one day – until 4 PM on December 3rd – to file objections, a timeframe they argued was insufficient. They also criticized the ₹1000 objection fee, deeming it excessive given the ₹4000 exam fee already paid. Further complaints included a delay in the distribution of exam materials; question papers, scheduled for distribution at 1:50 PM, were allegedly not distributed until 2:00 PM.

Despite these allegations, the Supreme Court declined to intervene, leaving the petitioners to pursue their case in a lower court. The release of the CLAT PG 2025 results remains unaffected by this decision.
