**KOCHI, INDIA (December 9, 2024)** – Over 200 children from 102 community development societies in Kochi participated in a “Children’s Parliament” on Sunday. Organized by Kudumbashree, the event paid tribute to the late Sitaram Yechuri, former general secretary of the CPI(M).
Young “parliamentarians” engaged in discussions on key issues including Digital India, healthcare initiatives, child-friendly panchayats, and universal education. The program was inaugurated by P. R. Ranish, chairperson of the Kochi Corporation’s development standing committee. Several other officials and speakers addressed the gathering.
