**New Delhi:** The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha by-elections in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Odisha. The party has nominated Rayaga Krishnaiah for Andhra Pradesh, Sujit Kumar for Odisha, and former National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Rekha Sharma for Haryana.

Sharma’s candidature fills the vacancy left by BJP leader Krishan Lal Panwar’s resignation. The Haryana by-election is scheduled for December 20th, with the BJP expected to win unopposed due to its majority in the state assembly. The seat will be valid until August 2028. Sharma, known for her close association with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was announced as a candidate before Modi’s visit to Panipat on Monday.

The last date for filing nominations for the Rajya Sabha by-elections is December 10th.
