**NEW DELHI:** The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) announced the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 on Sunday. The exam saw a tie for the top spot in the undergraduate (UG) category, with one student each from Haryana and Madhya Pradesh achieving the highest score. In the postgraduate (PG) category, a student from Odisha secured the top rank.
Saksham Gautam from Faridabad, Haryana, secured the top position in the CLAT UG 2025 exam with a remarkable 99.997 percentile. Gautam, a student of DPS school, attributed his success to dedicated hard work and a disciplined study routine of 8 hours daily. He eschewed social media and even opted for a basic phone without access to WhatsApp or Facebook to maintain focus. His father is a director at a Gurugram-based company, and his mother is a homemaker.
Gautam revealed his ambition to become a judge and ultimately the Chief Justice of India, inspired by a desire to serve the nation. His school also celebrated the success of two other students who cleared the CLAT exam. The announcement also highlighted the top performers from other states, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
