**Lucknow, December 10, 2024** – Shantanu Dwivedi, a class 12 student from Lucknow, has secured the top rank in Uttar Pradesh and an impressive all-India rank of 8 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. The results for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs were released swiftly, just seven days after the December 1st exam.
Dwivedi, a student of Law Prep Tutorial and CMS Aliganj, celebrated the achievement with his family. His success is a testament to his dedication and hard work. The results have instilled excitement amongst his peers and family.
Over three dozen other Lucknow candidates also secured commendable ranks, virtually securing their spots in prestigious law universities across the nation. Krishna from Lucknow achieved an all-India rank of 107. A total of 2519 students from Lucknow centers participated in the CLAT 2025 exam. Other notable performances from Law Prep Tutorial include Madhav Agrihotri (155th rank), Nitya Sharma (130th rank – EWS), and several others who achieved ranks within the top 1800.
The National Law University Consortium will open the counselling registration window from December 11th to 20th. The registration fee is ₹30,000 for general category and ₹20,000 for reserved categories. The first seat allotment will be announced on December 26th. A total of 3300 seats are available across 26 participating national law universities. The highest cutoffs are expected at NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata.
CMS Aliganj also celebrated the success of its students, with 51 students securing good ranks in CLAT 2025. The school’s principal, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, congratulated the students and expressed pride in their achievement. Dwivedi, who aims to study at the National Law College, Bangalore, attributed his success to focused preparation and consistent study habits. He plans to pursue litigation and also prepare for the PCS J examination.
