**Hyderabad, Telangana, December 8, 2024** – Two police constables were killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident on the Jaligam bypass road near Gajwel in Siddipet, Telangana. The victims, identified as Parandamulu (44) and Venkatesh (38), were on their way to participate in a marathon when an unidentified vehicle struck their motorcycle around 4 a.m.
Parandamulu, a 2003-batch constable from the Raipole police station, and Venkatesh, a 2007-batch constable from the Doulthabad police station, were reportedly riding on the wrong side of the road at the time of the accident, according to Siddipet Commissioner of Police B. Anuradha.
Following the incident, police recovered the bodies and transported them to the government hospital in Gajwel for post-mortem examinations. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to identify the vehicle involved and apprehend the driver.
