**Bengaluru, India –** Bengaluru FC secured a thrilling 4-2 victory over FC Goa at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, fueled by a remarkable hat-trick from veteran striker Sunil Chhetri. At 40 years and 126 days old, Chhetri etched his name into ISL history as the oldest player ever to score a hat-trick, surpassing Bartholomew Ogbeche’s previous record.

Chhetri and Ryan Williams combined for a commanding 2-0 first-half lead for Bengaluru FC. However, FC Goa fought back, equalizing with goals from Jesus Jimenez and Freddy Lallawmawma in the second half. Undeterred, Bengaluru FC reasserted their dominance, with Chhetri scoring two more goals, one assisted by Jorge Pereyra Diaz and the other from a set-piece, to secure the victory.

Elsewhere, East Bengal FC continued their impressive run, defeating Chennaiyin FC 2-0 with goals from PV Vishnu and Jeakson Singh, marking their first away win of the season. Chennaiyin FC, despite a strong offensive effort, remain winless in their last four matches. Both Bengaluru FC and FC Goa will face off again on December 14th in a double-header, while FC Goa will play their next game against Mohun Bagan Super Giant on the same day.
