**Bengaluru, December 8, 2024** – *Vishwambhara*, the first Kannada biography of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, was released at the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Bengaluru. The book, authored by acclaimed poet and novelist Dr. Na. Mogasale, a Karnataka Sahitya Academy Awardee, offers a detailed narrative of the philosopher’s life and his initiation of the Harinama Sankirtana movement.
The launch event featured Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot as the chief guest. Gehlot praised ISKCON Bengaluru for its three decades of work propagating Sanatana Dharma and highlighted Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s contribution to guiding society towards spiritual devotion. He noted the philosopher’s desire to spread the glorification of Lord Krishna and Srila Prabhupada’s role in furthering this vision globally.
Dr. Mogasale shared his journey in writing the biography, explaining that the title *Vishwambhara* (“the one who nourishes and protects the universe”) reflects Mahaprabhu’s mission. He acknowledged ISKCON Bengaluru’s support, providing him with extensive research materials including 18 volumes of information, as well as his personal research trips to Navadvipa and Jagannatha Puri.
