**Washington, D.C. – December 7, 2024** – Planned protests in Washington D.C. and Chicago aim to raise awareness about alleged attacks against Hindus in Bangladesh. Organizers say these rallies, scheduled for December 8th and 9th, are in response to a reported escalation of violence against the Hindu minority community following the ouster of the Sheikh Hasina government in August.
HinduAction will lead a march near the White House on Monday, while a separate protest, “Stop the Genocide: Save Hindu Lives in Bangladesh,” is planned in Chicago on Sunday, organized by prominent community leaders. The organizers claim over 200 attacks have occurred across approximately 50 districts in Bangladesh.

Utsav Chakrabarti of HinduACTion is urging the outgoing Biden-Harris administration to intervene and prevent further violence.
