**CHITTOOR, December 8, 2024** – District in-charge Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy stressed the importance of collaboration between officials and public representatives to drive progress in Chittoor district. Addressing a District Review Committee (DRC) meeting on Sunday, along with District Collector Sumit Kumar, Reddy highlighted government initiatives since the NDA coalition took power.
These initiatives include the repair of 17 irrigation works, costing ₹15 crore and enabling cultivation on an additional 2,740 acres. Special camps will be held from December 17th to 24th to assist disabled individuals, including providing artificial limbs. The minister also noted Chittoor’s fifth-place ranking in both NTR Bharosa pensions and Swarnandhra Mission feedback.
Collector Kumar reported 20,000 issues registered through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS), mainly concerning infrastructure (roads) and land disputes. Gram sabhas are planned to address these issues. MLAs from the district and senior officials attended the meeting.
