**Visakhapatnam, December 6, 2024** – The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) unit in Visakhapatnam conducted a workshop on Friday as part of Sexual Harassment against Women at the Workplace Prevention Week. The workshop focused on educating participants about the POSH Act, 2013, and related legal procedures.
Y. Jyothi Vijaya, Presiding Officer of the Internal Complaint Committee, delivered a key address. Senior scientist P. Viji from CIFT, Vizag, also spoke, along with Deputy Director Hrusikesh Bisoyi, who emphasized the importance of women’s safety in the workplace. Amrutha Varshini presented information on the She-BOX initiative, a government program providing electronic access to support for women across various sectors.
