**CHENNAI, December 7, 2024** – Chennai police have made significant arrests in two separate drug busts, seizing methamphetamine and ganja. Maduravoyal police apprehended T. Somashankar (37) from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, near the Maduravoyal flyover, recovering 3.7 grams of methamphetamine, a motorcycle, and two mobile phones. Simultaneously, Ramapuram police arrested A. Vignesh (27) of Pallavaram, also in possession of methamphetamine.
In a separate operation, the Avadi City Police Prohibition Enforcement Wing arrested two Kerala residents, Sooraj (21) and Shamnad (20), in Ambattur. A substantial 25 kg of ganja was seized from the duo. All suspects are currently in custody, facing charges related to drug possession and trafficking.
