**Thiruvananthapuram, December 6, 2024** – Suman Tiwari, a PhD scholar from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, has won the 12th Euraxess Science Slam India competition. The event, held at the Goethe-Zentrum in Thiruvananthapuram, saw four finalists present their research in engaging talks. Tiwari’s presentation secured her a round-trip ticket to Europe and the opportunity to network with researchers at leading European institutions.
The other finalists included Giggin T (Kerala Agricultural University), Shabana K M (IIT Palakkad), and Sreshtha Ganguly (IIT Kharagpur). The competition, a European Union initiative, aims to promote research opportunities and collaborations between India and Europe. The event featured interaction with representatives from various European Union member states, academic institutions, and the Euraxess India team. The 2024 competition was a collaborative effort between several organizations including CNRS India, the Delegation of the European Union to India, and various European Embassies in India.
