**Mumbai, India** – Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film, *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, has ignited the box office, shattering records with its phenomenal opening weekend. Released on December 5th, the film raked in a staggering ₹175 crore (approximately $21 million USD) on its opening day in India alone, and a worldwide total of ₹294 crore (approximately $35 million USD).
While Friday saw a slight dip in earnings compared to the Thursday premiere, the film maintained strong momentum, earning ₹90 crore (approximately $11 million USD) in India on its second day. This brings the two-day total to over ₹265 crore (approximately $32 million USD) domestically.
Surprisingly, the Hindi dubbed version has outperformed the Telugu original, grossing ₹59 crore (approximately $7 million USD) compared to the Telugu version’s ₹27.1 crore (approximately $3.3 million USD). The film also performed well in Tamil (₹5.5 crore), Malayalam (₹1.9 crore), and Kannada (₹0.6 crore). The Hindi version’s total collection now stands at ₹131 crore, surpassing the two-day collection of the original *Pushpa*’s Hindi version.
Trade analysts estimate that the film has already crossed ₹400 crore (approximately $48 million USD) globally in just two days, making it the highest-grossing Indian film in its first two days. It also holds the record for the highest first-Friday collection for a Hindi film. High occupancy rates, particularly in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, contributed to the film’s massive success.
Directed by Sukumar, *Pushpa 2: The Rule* stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jagapathi Babu. This sequel to the 2021 blockbuster *Pushpa*, which earned Allu Arjun his first National Award for Best Actor, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
