**EUGENE, OR** – University of Connecticut basketball star and Nike athlete Paige Bueckers has achieved another milestone, becoming the first-ever NIL athlete to design and launch her own Nike Player Edition basketball shoe. The Nike G.T. Hustle 3, launching December 7th, features innovative technology and personal touches reflecting Bueckers’ style and journey.
The shoe boasts a double-stacked Air Zoom unit for enhanced energy return, a soft heel for smooth transitions, and a breathable Radial Knit upper for support. Its baby blue and lavender colorway incorporates personalized details, including area codes representing the University of Connecticut and Bueckers’ hometown in Minnesota, an embroidered bucket on one tongue, and a “buckets” wordplay on the heel. A message from her father, “Be You, Be Great,” is featured on the other heel.
