While a cold wave will sweep across the state, bringing a dip in temperatures and intensifying the chill, a western disturbance approaching northern India is expected to cause snowfall in the Himalayas and light rain in eastern MP.
According to the MP Meteorological Department, the western disturbance will likely bring cloudy skies and light rain to Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions over the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, northwesterly winds will cause a drop in night-time temperatures and increased cold in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Chambal, and Ujjain divisions. Temperature fluctuations are expected across the western, eastern, and southern parts of the state.
