Sat Dec 07 01:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Madhya Pradesh to Experience Mixed Weather Conditions: Cold Snap and Possible Rainfall

**Bhopal, [Date]:** Madhya Pradesh is bracing for a mixed bag of weather conditions this Saturday. While a cold wave will sweep across the state, bringing a dip in temperatures and intensifying the chill, a western disturbance approaching northern India is expected to cause snowfall in the Himalayas and light rain in eastern MP.

According to the MP Meteorological Department, the western disturbance will likely bring cloudy skies and light rain to Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions over the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, northwesterly winds will cause a drop in night-time temperatures and increased cold in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Chambal, and Ujjain divisions. Temperature fluctuations are expected across the western, eastern, and southern parts of the state.

The current weather pattern is influenced by a jet stream over north India and a cyclonic circulation over the east-central Arabian Sea. North-easterly winds are contributing to temperature fluctuations and cloudy conditions with rain in some districts.

A severe cold wave is predicted to begin on December 20th and last until January, with 20 to 22 days potentially experiencing cold waves and dense fog.
