**Thiruvananthapuram, December 6, 2024** – The Kerala government has temporarily reverted to the original shift timings at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) following a review of recent schedule changes. Minister for General Education and Labour, V. Sivankutty, directed the Director of Training to re-examine the revised shift timings, which were implemented after Saturdays were declared holidays for trainees. The initial order, aimed at compensating for the lost Saturday study time, had led to amended second shift timings. Until a decision is made based on the new report, ITI’s will return to the original schedule: 7:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the first shift and 10:00 a.m. to 5:10 p.m. for the second.
