Sat Dec 07 15:41:00 UTC 2024: **Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Challenges Modi, Criticizes KCR in Nalgonda Rally**

HYDERABAD, December 7, 2024 – Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekhar Rao during a public meeting in Nalgonda district on Saturday. Reddy challenged Modi to prove that any other state had provided as many government jobs as the Congress government in Telangana – citing 55,143 jobs created within a year. He also ridiculed KCR for avoiding Assembly sessions following the BRS’s electoral setbacks.

Reddy accused KCR of failing to effectively act as Leader of the Opposition, instead relying on “amateurish leaders” to spread false information on social media. He contrasted this with his own actions, noting that despite losing his own Assembly election, he went on to win a parliamentary seat and remained engaged with the public.

The Chief Minister defended the Congress government’s record, highlighting farm loan waivers totaling ₹21,000 crore (including ₹2,004 crore in Nalgonda alone), free agricultural power, and numerous welfare schemes. He blamed the BRS for accumulating ₹7 lakh crore in debt, resulting in annual interest payments of ₹65,000 crore.

Reddy also announced a ₹400 crore ring road for Nalgonda town and reiterated plans for a new city around Hyderabad with a ₹50,000 crore investment. He further inaugurated several development projects, including a new unit at the Yadadri Thermal Power Station and a lift irrigation project in Nalgonda district. Several other Congress leaders attended the event.
