**Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh:** A disturbing video showing a 16-year-old boy assaulting three younger children while forcing them to chant a religious slogan has sparked outrage in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The video, which has circulated widely on social media, depicts the teenager repeatedly hitting the 6, 9, and 11-year-old boys with a slipper and verbally abusing them. He also allegedly demanded their relatives’ phone numbers and accused them of smoking.
The incident, which reportedly occurred about a month and a half ago near an under-construction amusement park, came to light recently when the video surfaced online. Police have confirmed the authenticity of the video and arrested both the 16-year-old attacker and a 14-year-old who filmed the incident. Both are currently in custody.
The three victims, residents of Manakchowk area, are seen crying and shielding their faces in the video. The incident prompted a crowd to gather outside a local police station on Thursday night before dispersing after assurances from authorities.
A case has been registered against the two teenagers for assault, abuse, issuing threats, and hurting religious sentiments. The investigation is ongoing.
