**Patna, Bihar –** Protests erupted in Patna today as Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants demanded a reversal of changes to the upcoming 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination, scheduled for December 13th. The students are vehemently opposed to the exam’s new multi-shift format and the subsequent normalization process, claiming it is unfair.
The demonstration, which saw students gathering near the BPSC office and attempting a march on the premises, led to a minor lathi-charge by police after protesters refused to disperse. Adding fuel to the fire, prominent educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, widely known as “Khan Sir,” visited the Gardanibagh police station Friday evening, sparking unsubstantiated rumors of his arrest, which Patna Police subsequently denied.
Khan Sir, whose YouTube channel, Khan GS Research Centre, boasts nearly 24 million subscribers, has become a vocal advocate for the students. His coaching center in Patna, along with others in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Dehradun, provides affordable preparation for competitive exams, making him a powerful voice for those protesting the perceived injustice of the exam changes. The BPSC maintains that no changes have been made to the exam procedures. The protests highlight growing frustration among aspirants over the exam format and the commission’s response.
