**Hyderabad, December 6, 2024** – Two prominent political figures from Telangana’s erstwhile Adilabad district have joined the Indian National Congress. Former BJP Member of Parliament Soyam Bapu Rao and former BRS MLA Athram Sakku formally joined the party on Thursday at Gandhi Bhavan in the presence of TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud.

Goud welcomed the new members, highlighting their significant political experience. He further indicated that several more BRS MLAs are in discussions with the Congress and are expected to join soon. Goud also addressed recent criticism surrounding the arrest of Kaushik Reddy, stating that legal action will be taken against anyone violating the law.
