Fri Dec 06 12:51:03 UTC 2024: ## Bangladesh Cruises into ACC U-19 Asia Cup Final After Dominant Victory Over Pakistan

**Dubai, UAE** – Defending champions Bangladesh secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the first semi-final of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2024 on Friday. Iqbal Hossain Emon’s exceptional bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets for 24 runs, spearheaded Bangladesh’s triumph.

Pakistan, after a shaky start, managed to post a modest 116 runs in 37 overs. Farhan Yousaf (32 runs) and Mohammad Riazullah (28 runs) offered some resistance but ultimately fell victim to Emon’s impressive spell.

In response, Bangladesh chased down the target with ease, reaching 117 runs for the loss of only three wickets. Md Azizul Hakim Tamim led the charge, smashing a brilliant 61 runs off 42 balls and securing the Player of the Match award.

The match, initially delayed due to a wet outfield, saw Bangladesh elect to field first after winning the toss. Their bowlers capitalized on the opportunity, restricting Pakistan to a below-par total.

Bangladesh will now face India in the final on Sunday, December 8th, in Dubai. India secured their place in the final earlier in the day after defeating Sri Lanka by seven wickets.
