Fri Dec 06 12:51:42 UTC 2024: ## Pace-Bowling Trio Nominated for ICC Men’s Player of the Month
**Dubai, UAE** – Three fast bowlers are vying for the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s Player of the Month award for November 2024. Jasprit Bumrah (India), Haris Rauf (Pakistan), and Marco Jansen (South Africa) have been nominated for their outstanding performances throughout the month.
Bumrah’s nomination stems from his dominant display in India’s Test victory over Australia in Perth. He claimed a career-best 8 wickets in the match, including a stunning 5/30 in the first innings that bowled out Australia for a paltry 104 runs. This performance earned him the Man-of-the-Match award.
Rauf’s impressive month saw him spearhead Pakistan’s historic ODI series win in Australia – their first in 22 years. He finished as the series’ top wicket-taker with 10 wickets at an exceptional economy rate, including a match-winning five-wicket haul. His excellent form continued into the subsequent T20I series against Australia and ODIs against Zimbabwe, bringing his November tally to 18 wickets across all formats.
Jansen’s nomination reflects his all-round contributions for South Africa. While effective with the ball in the T20I series against India, he also impressed with the bat, scoring a quick 54 in one match. However, his most impactful performance came in the first Test against Sri Lanka, where he took a career-best 11/86, including a seven-wicket haul that helped bowl out Sri Lanka for 42 runs – the second-lowest Test total of the 21st century.
The winner of the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award will be announced shortly. The three nominees all played pivotal roles in their respective teams’ successes throughout November.
