**Hyderabad, December 6, 2024** – The Hyderabad City Police destroyed a massive haul of contraband drugs worth ₹7.48 crore on Thursday. The operation, overseen by Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and led by CCS DCP N. Swetha, involved the disposal of drugs seized in 208 cases registered between 2019 and 2024 across 36 police stations.

The destroyed narcotics included over 2,140 kg of ganja, 12,669 ml of hash oil, hundreds of alprazolam tablets, cocaine, LSD, MDMA, and opium. The disposal was carried out by G.J. Multiclave (India) Pvt. Ltd., a biomedical waste management facility. This follows a previous drug destruction operation in June 2024, where drugs worth ₹3.08 crore were disposed of. The significant quantity of drugs destroyed highlights the ongoing efforts of the Hyderabad Police in combating the drug trade.
