**New Delhi, December 6, 2024** – Delhi residents enjoyed cleaner air for a third consecutive day, with the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) remaining in the “moderate” category on Friday. The AQI was recorded at 187 at 9 a.m., slightly higher than Thursday’s reading of 161, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). While 14 of the 38 monitoring stations reported “poor” air quality, the majority remained in the “moderate” range.

Despite the improved air quality, the city experienced its second consecutive day with a minimum temperature 1 degree below normal, settling at 8.5 degrees Celsius. Wednesday marked the coldest night of the season so far, with temperatures reaching the same low. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts mainly shallow fog and a maximum temperature around 27 degrees Celsius for Friday.
