The feat was accomplished during the second Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia in Adelaide on Friday. Bumrah dismissed Australian opener Usman Khawaja, reaching the 50-wicket mark with an impressive average of 15.20 and a strike rate of 30.8 in 2024. Only Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan previously achieved this for India among pace bowlers.
