Thu Dec 05 22:10:14 UTC 2024: ## Teacher Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident Near Bisfi, Bihar

**Bisfi, Bihar:** A 25-year-old teacher, Mithilesh Kumar, died tragically in a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday morning near Raghouli on the Kamtaul-Darbhanga SH-75 road. Kumar, a newly appointed TR-1 teacher from Donar Mor, Darbhanga, was on his way to his school in Kazi Baheda (Jale) when his bike lost balance due to a speed breaker. He fell, and an unknown vehicle ran him over, resulting in his death at the scene.

Police arrived at the scene and recovered Kumar’s helmet and scattered breakfast from his tiffin box. His body has been sent for post-mortem to Madhubani. Kumar was unmarried and reportedly rushing to school to meet the mobile attendance deadline.

Locals and fellow teachers criticized the numerous speed breakers along the NH 527B and SH-75, claiming they are dangerously placed and poorly marked, especially in foggy conditions. They allege the mandatory mobile attendance system pressures teachers to rush, increasing the risk of accidents. Kumar’s school operates in two shifts due to a large student population, and he was heading to his first shift at 7 am. The investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing.
