Thu Dec 05 01:10:06 UTC 2024: ## Kejriwal Condemns Attack on Sukhbir Badal, Raises Concerns Over Delhi’s Drug Problem
**Chandigarh/New Delhi** – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today condemned the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal in Amritsar, praising Punjab Police for preventing a major tragedy. He attributed the incident to a conspiracy by powerful forces aiming to tarnish Punjab’s image.
Kejriwal also used the opportunity to highlight his concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi, specifically citing a rampant drug problem. He stated that he is receiving numerous reports from citizens about openly sold narcotics in their neighborhoods and alleged that drugs are flowing from Mundra Port in Gujarat, controlled by Gautam Adani, into Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana. He questioned whether this could happen without the involvement of top political forces, directly implicating the BJP.
While praising the quick action of Punjab Police that saved Badal from serious harm, Kejriwal’s statement focused heavily on the drug issue in Delhi, promising to continue questioning authorities on the matter. He stated, “I will continue to question the law and order situation in the national capital. People are calling me from different areas to highlight the severity of the drug menace.”
The attack on Sukhbir Badal, a failed assassination attempt thwarted by a Punjab Police ASI, occurred Wednesday outside the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
