Thu Dec 05 15:50:01 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan Rests Key Players for Final Zimbabwe T20I

**Bulawayo, Zimbabwe –** Pakistan has made several changes to its playing XI for the final T20I against Zimbabwe, resting key players Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Irfan Khan Niazi. Saim Ayub has also been dropped, with Sahibzada Farhan taking his place. Their replacements are Qasim Akram, Arafat Minhas, and Mohammad Hasnain. Salman Ali Agha will continue to captain the side in the absence of Mohammad Rizwan.

The changes come after Pakistan secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, winning the second T20I by a resounding 10 wickets. Zimbabwe’s paltry 57 runs, their lowest ever T20I total, was largely due to Sufiyan Muqeem’s exceptional five-wicket haul (3 runs conceded in 2.4 overs).

Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe concludes Thursday before the team heads to South Africa for a series beginning December 10. The full playing XI for the final T20I is: Sahibzada Farhan, Omair Yousuf, Usman Khan, Salman Ali Agha (capt.), Tayyab Tahir, Qasim Akram, Arafat Minhas, Jahandad Khan, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain, and Sufiyan Muqeem.
