**Kannur, Kerala, December 5, 2024** – P.P. Divya, former president of the Kannur district panchayat, has filed a police complaint alleging online abuse by YouTubers. The complaint, filed on Tuesday with Kannur District Police Chief Ajith Kumar, specifically names YouTuber Binoy Kunhumon and the YouTube channel News Cafe Live. Divya is currently under investigation regarding the death of Additional District Magistrate Naveen Babu.
The complaint also cites threatening comments made on Instagram by a Thrissur resident who allegedly threatened to kill Divya’s children. A separate complaint regarding these threats has already been filed by Divya’s husband with Kannapuram police, resulting in a case being registered against one individual. The police are currently investigating both complaints.
