Thu Dec 05 00:48:03 UTC 2024: ## Kerala College Teachers Boycott Exam Evaluations Over Overwork
**Kannur, Kerala – December 5, 2024** – Kerala Private College Teachers’ Association (KPCTA) has announced an indefinite boycott of the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) evaluation camp and the K-REAP software, starting Thursday. The decision follows a strongly worded letter to Kannur University Vice-Chancellor K.K. Saju, citing overwhelming workloads and dissatisfaction with the current evaluation system.
According to KPCTA Kannur region president Shinto P. Jose, teachers are burdened with excessive exam script evaluations alongside their regular teaching duties. This, the association argues, negatively impacts the quality of evaluations and places undue pressure on teaching staff. The boycott affects the ongoing FYUGP evaluation process.
