**New Delhi, India** – Gold prices in Delhi climbed significantly today, reaching a new high. A 10 gram (24 karat) gold bar increased by ₹300, closing at ₹79,150, up from ₹78,850 yesterday. This surge is attributed to increased demand from retailers and jewelry makers. Simultaneously, silver prices continued their upward trend for the third consecutive day, rising ₹1,300 to reach ₹93,800 per kilogram. This compares to yesterday’s closing price of ₹92,500.
However, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) showed a different trend. February gold futures contracts fell by ₹160, settling at ₹76,932, fluctuating between ₹76,700 and ₹77,400 during intraday trading. March silver futures also decreased, dropping ₹188 to close at ₹93,105.
Internationally, gold futures on COMEX saw a price increase of $7.20, reaching $2,669 per ounce. Silver, however, experienced a slight dip of 0.27%, settling at $31.93 per ounce.
