**Mumbai, India –** Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for a third time today in a lavish ceremony at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan. The event was attended by a galaxy of stars, including prominent political figures and Bollywood celebrities.

The ceremony saw the swearing-in of two Deputy Chief Ministers: Ajit Pawar of the NCP and Eknath Shinde of the Shiv Sena. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was notably absent, but several other Chief Ministers from across India, including Yogi Adityanath (UP), Nitish Kumar (Bihar), and Bhupendra Patel (Gujarat), were present to witness the occasion. Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari also attended. The guest list further included Bollywood A-listers such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Madhuri Dixit, along with cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Fadnavis’ wife, Amruta Fadnavis, expressed her happiness and the couple’s heightened sense of responsibility following his sixth election as an MLA. Earlier in the day, Fadnavis paid his respects at Mumbai’s Shree Siddhivinayak and Shree Mumbadevi temples before seeking his mother’s blessings.

The swearing-in follows a resounding victory for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections. The alliance secured a landslide win with 235 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party with 132 seats. The Shiv Sena won 57 seats, and the NCP secured 41. In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance suffered a significant defeat, with the Congress winning only 16 seats.
