**Ranchi:** The BJP has launched a scathing attack on the Jharkhand government following the release of the provisional results for the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. BJP spokesperson Ajay Sah termed the release a “cruel joke” with the future of students, arguing that the results should not have been published without an impartial investigation.
Sah highlighted concerns about a viral message predicting specific roll numbers before the results were announced, some of which allegedly appeared in the final list. While the BJP doesn’t confirm the message’s authenticity, Sah stressed the need for a thorough investigation considering the vast number of students involved. The party also criticized the release of the results while numerous students have challenged the process in court, calling it unconstitutional and a violation of student rights.
The BJP further alleges that the timing of the result release, coinciding with cabinet expansion, exposes the government’s alleged apathy and the overpowering influence of bureaucracy over the ruling dispensation. The party accuses the Hemant Soren government of prioritizing political maneuvering over student concerns, contradicting earlier promises of a fair investigation.
The BJP has pledged its support to the protesting students and announced its intention to raise the issue in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.
